Reducing the energy consumption and heat loss in buildings holds a huge potential. Therefore new and considerably tougher energy and environmental requirements will be included in future building regulations.
Consequently there is a significant need for new products which increase the energy efficiency in buildings.
With support from EUDP, ELFORSK PSO and the Market Development Fund – and with SBI, Rambøll and Inwido as primary partners – Art Andersen has developed Energy Frames: A system of movable, dynamic, window-screening shutter frames – in a number of versions – with energy saving and indoor climate improving qualities: Daylight control, solar shading, visual shading, (night)insulation, natural ventilation, noise reduction etc.
The objective was to create a dynamic facade system at a realistic price level to ”click onto” window frames. With a number of optional surfaces, colors, materials and architectural expressions. For new buildings as well as for projects with facade renovation – office buildings, corporate headquarters, institutions, and private housing.
