Royal Festival Hall

When Allies and Morrison led the restoration of London’s Royal Festival Hall, we helped design and produce the acoustic doors in front of the central organ.

The acoustic doors consist of 8 6,5-meter tall, 500-kilo heavy motorized horizontal sliding shutters that allow for control of the concert hall’s acoustics. Furthermore, the acoustic doors have three settings; the organ can be visible, partly covered or completely hidden.
